SUMMER B BAND

Who can join?

​

The UF Summer B Band is open to UF Students, faculty, and Gainesville community members. A UF affiliation is not required, and there is no fee for participation; HOWEVER, participating musicians must be available for all rehearsals and the concert.

​

*UF students have the option to earn (1) Summer B credit under the course number: MUN1120.

​

All Wind and Percussion instrumentalists are welcome to audition!

​

*Equipment: UF Students registered for the course will be allowed to borrow UF instruments. All others must provide your own instrument.

Auditions

​

Auditions for the 2022 UF Summer B Band will be done via recorded video. Video submissions should be no longer than 7 minutes in length, and must include a full-range chromatic scale and two excerpts of varying styles (e.g. technical, lyrical). Videos are due by 11:59pm on Monday, June 27, 2022

Rehearsals

The 2022 UF Summer B Band will rehearse Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00pm - 7:30pm in UF Steinbrenner Band Hall from June 29 through August 4.
