SUMMER SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
Who can join?
The UF Summer Symphony Orchestra is open to UF Students, faculty, as well as Gainesville community members. A UF affiliation is not required, and there is no fee for participation, but participating musicians must be available for all rehearsals and the concert.
The following instruments are welcome to audition: violin, viola, cello, bass, flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba, percussion.
*UF students have the option to earn (1) Summer B credit under the course number: MUN1210.
*Equipment: UF Students registered for the course will be allowed to borrow UF instruments. All others must provide your own instrument.
Auditions
Auditions for the 2022 UF Summer Symphony Orchestra will be done via recorded video. Video submissions should be no longer than 7 minutes in length, and must include two excerpts of varying styles (e.g. technical, lyrical). Please have YouTube links emailed no later than June 28, 2022.

Rehearsals
The 2022 UF Summer Symphony Orchestra rehearses Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00pm – 7:30pm in UF Steinbrenner Band Hall throughout the month of July.
